There’s this 24-hour race in England, called Sleepless In The Saddle. It has become hugely popular over the last four years, gaining a reputation for low entry fees, a good party atmosphere, fun courses, and racers going home with more value in swag than they paid in entry fees. Patrick Adams, the man behind the event, has been known to stand at the finish line and personally shake every racer’s hand as they cross the finish line. SITS has subsequently become the premiere endurance event across the pond, and now enjoys race entries in the thousands.
Now partnered with Kona bicycles, SITS is going global, as part of the Kona Global 24-hour Series. Event #2 will happen at Snow Mountain Ranch, Granby, CO, on September 10th and 11th. That is coming up fast, folks.

The course is prime Colorado high country riding – an 11.1 mile lap, with 1462’ of climbing per lap, plenty of single track, yer usual LeMans start, all starting and finishing at a lung cleansing 8,712’ above sea level.
All in all, it spells out a recipe for a mighty good time…
