NEWS: SoCal Riders Gather This Weekend for Good Cause
Eating for a Good Cause
By Vernon Felton
If you live in Southern California, you've probably heard of the Mount Wilson Bicycle Association: they're the advocacy group that's largely responsible for the continued bike access in the San Gabriel mountains. Well, this weekend is your chance to give a little something back to the group that's given so much to area riders--and all you really have to do is show up and eat pancakes. Not exactly a Herculean task.
The club is holding its annual pancake breakfast fund-raiser and is inviting all riders to show up--cross country folks and freeriders alike.
The Pancake breakfast will be held from 8 AM on Sunday April 10th at Millard campground.
There will be a small donation required--after all, you are getting breakfast here. There will also be raffle in which plenty of very cool schwag will be dispensed. The list of companies who are donating goods to be raffled off include Foes Fabrication, Trek Bicycles, Hadley
Racing, Hope Technologies, Magura, Oakley, Surly,
Salsa, SixSixOne, Azonic, Giro, SDG, Enervit, Ryders Eyewear, WTB, Park Tool, Troy Lee Designs, Sigg Switzerland, Kenda tires, and Kona Bikes. Whew....that's a pretty serious raffle line up.
