The fourth annual Ultimate Freeride Challenge is officially half-way over, so if you haven’t gone to www.raceface.com/ufc and voted yet, by all means log on and pick the riders you think deserve a pro contract.
Matt Hunter won the 2nd UFC. See, this thing actually works. You vote, some lucky rider stops working at Krispy Kremes & goes pro.
Why bother? Well, how many other companies are asking for your input on whom they should sponsor? Besides, registering to vote takes about a minute and watching the videos is actually pretty fun. It’s one of those rare win-win things.
Anyhoo, here’s the general update. Last week’s 3rd Round victory went to the dual team of Matt Brooks and Jared Gatzka. This is the first time a grouped entry will have advanced to the semi-finals. Brooks and Gatzka will face whichever rider wins this week’s Round 4 competition. In short, they’ll face either Joe Perrizo, Derek Alexander, Jonas Green or Steve Tuchiwksky in the semi-finals. It's all up to you.

The winners of the semi-final round will be flown down to the Sea Otter Classic and on April 16th at the BIKE Magazine Video Awards, RaceFace, Giant and Manitou (the UFC sponsors) will tally the votes and announce the winner of the fourth annual Ultimate Freeride Challenge.
