The hipsters at PUMA are delving into the cycling industry with the new Urban Mobility clothing line. The five-piece collection was designed with the help of London's Vexed Generation to bring us comfort, function and good looks while on two wheels. The standout-item of the line is the Urban Mobility Pant.

These are the pants you wear for cross-town jaunts to work or the bar. They look like standard denim, but the material consists of a super tough mix of polyester and nylon that sheds road and trail spray like plastic. For bike riding function, internal zippers draw in excess fabric to keep the baggy pant legs from getting caught in the chain ring and the waistband comes up higher than standard jeans to accommodate hunched-over riding positions. For the after-dark commuters, a loop is placed on the backside for mounting a taillight.
After countless rides on and off the road, the Urban Mobility Pants are still super comfortable and fit in anywhere from dirt-jumping sessions to semi-fancy restaurants. On hot days however, the nylon/polyester mix doesn't breath as well as denim. Considering the rugged material and water shedding capabilities, the compromise of sweating a little through the summer is worth it. PUMA put their style and quality into these pants and it shows; unfortunately at $250, only riders with deep pockets in their current pants will be able to afford 'em.
