Diamondback Releases Limited Edition Slopestyle Bike
Previewed: Diamondback Scapegoat
Diamondback's Knuckle Box suspension design, used on their Mission and Sortie mountain bikes, is being expanded into the slopestyle and all-mountain arena with a new and very limited edition bike called the Scapegoat. Originally a concept bike developed for Interbike, the production models were created as interest in the show model increased.
The Scapegoat's frame is essentially a Mission frame with a more robust straight gauge downtube for increased strength, a 1.5-inch headtube, an ISCG chainguide mount and a mount on the seat tube for a Brake Therapy floating brake caliper adaptor. The layout sounds like it should make for a fun and capable new platform, but unfortunately the initial production run calls for only 20 of them to be built so you should consider yourself lucky just to see one let alone ride it, at least for now. “The Scapegoat is an all-mountain/park rider’s dream bike," said Diamondback Marketing Coordinator Trevor Knesal.
The frame features 6-inches of travel in back with 6.3-inches in front via a Fox 36 TALAS RC2 fork. The highlights of the build include a Fox DHX Air 5.0 rear shock, Truvativ Stylo cranks, Sram X.0 shifting, Mavic Crossmax SX wheels and Avid Code brakes.

I really would enjoy having this bike, but I am 14 years old and I dont have the kind of money to put into this bike. I am an inspired downhill cyclist and I need a realistic bike for me with a good price. Any Suggestions? Appriciate it.

I sell DBs and just bought a mission, the scapegoat will retail around $4000. I would pick up a mission if i were u. 2009 models will be more expensive, so get an 08 model while they last!! You can race on the mission platform. I love mine to death!!!
