Over the last 10 years, clothing companies have come and gone, but Nema has ridden their way to the forefront, hanging their baggy duds on some fat-tire luminaries like Joe Schwartz.
Crafting "deluxe threads for the epic adventure" since 1995, the Huntington Beach, California, company makes something for all your riding needs. The Apeks jersey is a breathable performance garment made of Nema's TransLink fabric. The short-sleeved Apeks features a standard three pockets in back, a 12-inch zipper up front and an elasticized waist band. But Nema doesn't stop at the status quo. There are also two small zipper pockets, one on the right sleeve, and one on the center rear pocket. Great for those "cannot lose" items, like your keys, your iPod or your fresh pack of Black Cats. The Apeks also has a technical, but not too constricting cut.

The colors are subdued and simple: not too flashy and not too plain. It's the type of jersey you could keep on after the ride when you stop for tacos on the way home. That design mentality keeps with the company's focus: freedom to just ride whatever, whenever and not be pigeonholed by some industry label or catch phrase.--Dan Powell
