Faze: Faze 1 - $5549, Faze 2 -$2999, Faze 3 - $2019
In addition to Boyko’s success this summer, another Norco team rider, Catherine Pendrel, has been achieving awesome results in the XC race arena. Her win at the 2007 Pan Am games places her in hot contention for a spot on the ’08 Olympic team and it wouldn’t be possible without a sweet ride like the Norco Faze. The Faze features a lightweight M6 triple butted main frame, 3.5" or 4.5" of travel, race geometry, 100mm air forks, 6" rotors and a racey selection of components.
The 4XXX is a dirt jump and park full-suspension bike from Norco
Dirt/Street Series: 4XXX - $2779, 4Hun - $1799, Two50 - $1409, One25 - $1299, Ryde - $1049, Havoc - $899
Dirt jumps, skate parks, urban riding, 4X racing and slopestyle competitions are where you’re likely to find Norco’s dirt and street series bikes. Of these, one is an alloy full suspension model while the remainder is split between steel and alloy frame designs. Alloy hardtails feature hydroformed down tubes, slotted dropouts with stainless inserts, ISCG05 and older guide mounts and lighter yokes and gussets than ’07 models. The steel frames feature 4130 externally butted seat stays, compact slotted dropouts, ISCG 05 and older guide mounts, an integrated BMX headtube and small lightweight gussets.

This by no means completes the Norco catalog. Track one down or check out their fresh new website and you’ll find more cross-country and freeride hardtails, junior freeride bikes, an awesome Ti cyclocross bike and even a Ryan Leech signature trials frame. Go to Norco.com
Norco doesn’t just make bikes either we also got to see the ’08 line of clothing, helmets, protection and gloves from Mace Gear. Mace clothing sets itself apart from the rest of the industry with styling and fabrics that easily blend into urban environments. Their jerseys are durable enough for the Shore, but stylish enough to wear to work; a model called the Partisan even sports a collar—no more weird stares wearing your spandex to Starbucks (actually, we kind of enjoy the weird stares…).
The Mace Partisan sets new standards for MTB style.
New for ’08 in the bottoms department are laser-cut venting for improved airflow without compromising durability, plus they are still making the popular Carhartt-inspired Evac cotton model. Mace protective gear includes a wide array of options to keep you safe on the trail. One new ’08 product that we noticed was the Trigger helmet, it’s a skate lid type dirt jump helmet, but it’s built with a microshell for lighter weight so long as you don’t crash too often.
The Mace Trigger is the lightest skate lid we've seen.
