A fine example of Rocky Mountain’s attention to detail, the Slayer is made completely by hand—from welding to paint masking to wheel building. With those details, as well as a 69-degree head angle and low 13.2-inch bottom bracket, the Slayer handled everything thrown at it with the unfaltering composure of Steve McQueen in The Great Escape. And the Fox RP3 properly damped the trusty four-bar system, providing a bob-free pedaling platform.
The shock mounts did hinder us from slamming the saddle completely down on steep descents, but otherwise our days on this go anywhere, ride anything bike were trouble free.
