Don’t let the poo-brown color fool you—Kona’s Dawg Primo is a ripper, relying on a tried and true four-bar, rocker-link suspension.
The Dawg's most noticeable feature is its ability to carve. The bike rails, thanks to a stiff-and-responsive front end and rigid aluminum frame. The short-and-tight rear linkage adds to the bike’s maneuverability and the wheel travel is easy to engage, yet firm when climbing.

However, the rear end is noticeably flexy. The durable box-shaped stays look beefy, so we question the dainty-looking rocker arm. That aside, you can’t really beat this bike for the money. It’s spec’d well and built to last.
