This iteration of the Super-D race began with a classic Le Mans-style start. The course consisted of a short run up to a fire road that lead into a flat roll along the same fire before dropping straight down a ski run and then funneling into the woods. This translates to go from a nice resting heart rate of 70 bpm or so to instant REDLINE on the run up, to a "try and reduce red line to a semi comfortable 175-185 bpm" effort the rest of the way down.

The men led off, with Brian Fawley getting the hole shot in the woods, followed closely by Greg Carpenter, Ross Schnell, and then Adam Craig a few more back. But not for long. Adam passed two people in the steep, ledge strewn upper section before the single track, and picked off the remaining challengers on the climb, coming out on top once again. The podium was Adam Craig, Ross Schnell, Ryan Fawley, Greg Carpenter, and Sam Koerber.

In the Pro Women, Willow Koerber grabbed an immediate lead over Marla Streb, but a broken chain at the top of the climb relegated her to DFL. Consequently, it became a knock down drag out battle in the woods between Marla Streb and Rachel Lloyd, with Rachel Lloyd on top at the end. A surprisingly strong technical performance by Katie Compton gave her a third place, followed by Kyia Anderson and then Pua Sawicki.
