Colin Meagher: I guess it’s best to say that I come from the school of hard knocks for my education with a camera—self-taught with film. Plus a lot of tech tips from the grand master of flash, Mr Ian Hylands, and the odd bit of zen-like advice from Bike Magazine’s Dave Reddick. I’m a bit of a hothead on the track—mainly because I feel that every shot counts. That’s because when it comes to shooting, I’m obsessed with capturing the moment. It’s a challenge that I find infinitely rewarding. Especially covering racing action. There are so many variables to juggle in order to shoot something special, and from track to track they are never quite the same: light, weather, the way the track evolves, who’s riding and finding that one special angle. The thing I relish the most is being able to bring clarity and focus to those single slices of time that define what racing is all about. Like everyone else on this list, I keep a constantly evolving client list that includes Bike, Bikemag.com and Dirt. My work can be seen online at www.inmotionphoto.com
