For the second year in a row the Sea Otter Classic mountain bike race opened the season with foul weather conditions, but that didn't stop the mountain bike masses from getting their groove on in Monterey, California.

Katie Compton (Colorado Springs, Colo./Spike) easily walked away from the women'd pro field on the first lap of the STXC and didn't look back.
