Our fifth and final day of Interbike had us hiking through the halls of the Sands Convention center seeking out the last few tasty bits of MTB gear that we could find. Here is the last of the 2007 Interbike hardware highlights.

Hayes had four-piston prototypes brakes in their truck at the On-Dirt Demo in Bootleg Canyon, Nevada, last week. Expect at least two versions to use the new four-piston caliper. The "Donor" will use what product manager Rich Travis calls the middle linebacker of brake levers, shown here in prototype orange, is expected to weigh in around 500 grams with an 8-inch rotor. A lighter version called the "Ace" will use a standard Stroker lever coupled with the new caliper for a rock-solid all mountain stopper. While the caliper shown here is a prototype, it's far enough along that Mark Weir rode it at Mega Avalanche races and throughout the Alps this summer. |
