The Sea Otter Classic is the biggest bike race in the US and the mountain bike race season opener. Being such an important event it also plays a big role in spring product releases and unveilings. Manitou - Manitou, which recently was bought by Hayes Bicycle Group (Yeah, the brake-making Hayes) The company is going to revamp its line and focus only on high end forks, including the Minute, Travis Jump and R7 lines, as well as its new 29er fork. However, it’s separating the chaff from that wheat with the elimination of Axel, Splice, Sliver, Slate Relic and Stance product lines. Now that’s some spring cleaning. |
