Hayes Stroker - Forget everything you know about your Hayes Mag, Nine and El Camino brakes, because the company is going to stop making all of them. Instead, it’s going to make three different versions of it’s new Stroker platform. The brake piston is oriented perpendicular to the bar, a la Shimano XTR and Magura Louise brakes. The brakes will come in three versions—Ryde, Trail and Carbon, and all will weigh in under 400 grams. Also available next year from Hayes is a 140-millimeter rotor—a first for the company and an indication they feel strongly about the stopping power of their new design.
