The Sea Otter Classic is the biggest bike race in the US and the mountain bike race season opener. Being such an important event it also plays a big role in spring product releases and unveilings. Here’s a gallery of images with detailed captions of a ton of gear that we spied in the 07 Otter infield.
Race Face D2 and Atlas Stems - The Atlas AM stem is built for all-mountain abuse but with the lightweight needs of the XC set. It’s designed around oversized handlebars and weighs in under 200 grams. The new “D2” Diablous stem comes in standard and 1.5-inch steerer clamp size and is designed specifically for free ride and DH use. Both stems use a U-shaped handlebar faceplate that Race Face says reduces dangerous stress points at the bars. Converted from Canadian dollars, the stems sell for $60.50 and $72, respectively.
