The Sea Otter Classic is the biggest bike race in the US and the mountain bike race season opener. Being such an important event it also plays a big role in spring product releases and unveilings. Look 986 Off Road - Look didn’t have to go far to find inspiration for its first mountain bike. The carbon frame and integrated E-Post seatpost of the 986 come directly from Look’s road bikes. The hardtail practically even weighs as little as a road bike—just a hair over 20 pounds with a SRAM X.0/Juicy/Reba build. Two complete versions of the bike should be available this fall, with the higher-end option falling in the $4,000 to $5,000 range. |
