The Sea Otter Classic is the biggest bike race in the US and the mountain bike race season opener. Being such an important event it also plays a big role in spring product releases and unveilings. Shimano SHMP90 - Shimano, a leader in cold-forged components, teamed up with Vibram, a leader in rubber soles, to develop this cycling shoe. The tacky Vibram sole is flexible enough to curl slightly around flat pedals, but sole stiffness can be custom tuned with modular inserts. Although it sports casual styling, this non-SPD compatible shoe is designed for all-mountain and freeriding. In addition to the performance sole, the MP90 features an asymmetrical heel cuff that protects the inner ankle. |
