2-20-07 // Events: Wham Bam Thank You Jam, March 5-6, Portland, Oregon

The first-ever North American slopestyle series has been announced. Starting March 5-6 in Portland, Oregon, this event will be the first of four North American slopestyle events—at this rate the Wham Bam Thank You Jam might just become a household name by the end of ’07. The Portland stop of WBTYJ will be held at the Hindsight MX Park, just outside of Metro Portland. The course will feature dirt jumps mixed with slopestyle obstacles in an indoor dirt arena. The event will begin on Monday, March 5th with practice and a rider meeting. More practice and the Pro/Am main events with conclude on Tuesday, March 6th.

Expect three more stops on the WBTYJ series to be announced soon so keep you ears wide open for more info coming shortly. Competitors can earn points towards the overall series title for both the pro and amateur categories.

The field is limited to 30 amateur and 30 pro riders. Those positions are filling up fast and available on a first-come, first-serve basis for a $50 fee. Hurry up and register now to claim your spot.
