Former World Champion and three-time national champion Marla Streb has a well-deserved reputation for being fast. She has competed in World Cup downhills and cross-country races, as well as numerous adventure races. But when it came time to open her dream mountain bike camps in Costa Rica, Streb took her time.
She spent years building trails, improving her resort property, securing necessary permits and organizing logistics. As the project grew in scope, taking on additional investors, it became part of a larger beachfront resort focused on sustainable ecotourism.

The idea first came to Streb while she was competing in La Ruta de los Conquistadores, the well-known mountain bike stage race across Costa Rica. The event proved that a vibrant mountain bike culture already existed in Costa Rica, and that riders from overseas were willing to travel there—they just needed trails and a resort dedicated to their needs.
Now, Streb is ready to open the doors to her Singletrack Jungle. She plans to offer 3-day, all-inclusive instructional and riding camps. Streb will provide bikes, miles of purpose-built singletrack and access to Costa Rica’s beaches, jungles and zip lines.
The camps will run from June 15 to December 15 and will cover everything from bike setup and maintenance to cornering, drops and line choice. In addition to riding, the camps will offer surf excursions and other non-riding activities.
