Twenty one-year-old Darren Pokoj, a young and ambitious Australian rider, who's been gaining respect internationally over the past two years competing in numerous progressive MTB contests has just signed a sponsorship deal with Felt bikes.
Darren began riding in the BMX scene twelve years ago before he got into mountain bikes. Since then he's sampled several gravity genres including downhill racing, mountain cross competition, freeride, slopestyle and dirt jumping. Well known for a very stylish nosedive-360 maneuver, Darren has made his mark in several competitions recently including winning the slopestyle comp at Red Bull Trailfox, winning the Vienna Air King, getting 5th at Adidas Slopestyle, and 6th at the Red Bull District Ride in Italy despite a broken ankle.
Darren's versatility will be a welcome addition to the Felt team that also includes Joscha Forstreuter as well as Cameron Zink. Right now, Darren is enjoying the summer down under on the Gold Coast of Australia. From April on he will spend most of his time in Europe competeing in all the international contests and to keep riding his bike all year long. You will be able to watch Darren's riding skills the first time in 2008 at the Vienna Air King on April 19th and 20th in the middle of Vienna’s city center.
