Fisher's 08 HiFi Carbon
Fisher HiFi Carbon
The goal of the original HiFi was to make the finest-handling trail bike on the market. The goal of the HiFi Carbon is to make the finest handling and lightest trail bike on the market. Fisher is doing this by employing some pretty advanced carbon manufacturing techniques—using something that they call co-molding, which is superior in strength to regular bonding. One result of this new process is a 40% higher stiffness-to-weight ratio than the aluminum model. Co-molded parts include, but are not limited to the shock mounts on the top and seat tubes. The new HiFi retains the Genesis 2 Geometry with a modified fork offset. The bike will come with new 2008 Fox forks. Manitou is not making the forks this year. Fisher also said Rock Shox would be making G2 offset-compatible forks for 2008.
Complete bike weight is a reported 23.3lbs for a size medium.
Frame, shock and hardware weight is 4.7lbs for a medium.
The HiFi Carbon will come in two models. The HiFi Carbon will retail for $4500, and the HiFi Carbon Pro will retail for $6500.
