From June 7-10 Braun held their 26TRIX contest in Leogang, Austria during the Kona Out-of-Bounds weekend. Riders were competing for 5,000 euros worth of prize money and whole bunch of bragging rights to whomever pulled the craziest trick. Riders were anxious to practice Sunday morning prior to their two final runs on the 26Trix course. Andreu Lacondeguy had a lot of work ahead of him, as he had already nailed double backflips on Saturday. He would have to come through with two fresh and consistent runs to make it onto the podium.
Andreu was able to bring out the rest of his tricks on the 26TRIX course like no-handed flips, stretched out supermans, extended no-footed cans and a tuck no-hander on the step down, as well as a 360-nosedive at the final jump. He came out with two strong runs with good style and was rewarded for his efforts with 2nd place. Jamie Goldman was comfortably sitting in the top spot after Saturday’s final runs, where he pulled a 360, a 360-opposite, a no-footed can, a backflip on the step-down, 360 on the hip, flip over the pool gap and another flip on the last jump.
Darren Pokoj had to pull out some extra moves on Sunday in order to improve his result. He was the only rider that took the transfer after the first jump. Darren inaugurated the new line of the 26TRIX course. The Australian even jumped a 360 nosedive in the line and showed again that he has a total different style of riding. He rode smooth thru the whole run and finished with 3rd place. The surprise of the day came from Aze Etzold from Germany. He was one of the few riders running a full-face helmet, and today everyone found out why. Aze’s first run started off normal, but when he got to the second jump, he began to twist and spin in the air. No one knew what was happening until he landed his 360-backflip smooth as glass. He rode away victorious while the entire crowd (riders included) stood in awe of what had just happened.

The Out Of Bounds weekend wrapped up with the prize giving ceremony on the dirt jump course, where Jamie, Andreu and Darren were given super-sized checks for 3,500, 2,000 and 1,000 euros. Jamie Goldman was extremely happy to end the weekend with two wins.
The Out Of Bounds weekend ends on another high note, with the level of riding once again getting pushed to a new level. Double flips, front flips and 360-backflips were thrown down, Kona bikes were handed out to the Terminator winners and another great weekend of bike riding is in the books.
