Event: Jeantex Bike Transalp Powered By Nissan

It’s a must for all real mountain bike enthusiasts: the participation in the Jeantex Bike Transalp powered by Nissan. The mother of all stage races will once again offer more than 1,000 bikers a challenging adventure by crossing the main ridge of the Alps from North to South in eight stages covering a distance of roughly 600 km (385 miles) and a vertical gain of 19,5000 m (65,000 ft.).

Two-person teams will first have to race to sign up for the event, when the first chance to get an entry position takes place online on December 7, 2008. Only the fastest 250 will get the first half of all available Transalp tickets. The rest have to hope for the lottery where the other 250 spots will be drawn by the BIKE editorial office out of all postal entries.
